DAVID

Plot

David and Bob are two close friends who go mountain climbing every summer. This particular summer, they are attempting to climb the Fortress, a mountain in Canada. They attempt to do this twice, because on the first try, they fail. Their second attempt was more successful than the first one. However, while climbing, Bob slips and loses his balance. David, the trustworthy friend that he is, comes to the rescue. In doing so, however, David’s footholds actually break and he suffers a fall of 50 feet. This fall cripples him for life and he has a tough decision to make. In the end, he asks Bob to push him over the edge. He would rather die than have to live a life being a burden to his family. On top of that, he would not want to live his life in a wheel chair and not be able to be physically active. Bob decides to grant David’s request, knowing his friend well enough to know that he would be unhappy for the rest of his life if he were to live. The End.
