Hi.
My name is Leorah Addi and I teach English to the 9th and 10th graders
here in Israel. I am a relatively new teacher and prior to moving to
Israel, I worked for IBM in networking sales (pretty big career change
huh?). Even though both professions seem very different, I think there
are many similarities. Both professions need to sell a product and in
this case it is selling the importance of the English language. Even
though it is considered a requirement to pass an English exam to be
accepted to university, it is still a second language to most of my
students and sometimes considered not as important as some other subjects.
So in my eyes it is still a sales job.
